Gnestrentals is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our clients' personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We have designated a Privacy Officer who is responsible for our compliance with these laws. See Section 9 for contact details.

To provide vacation booking services, we collect information that identifies you or can be used to identify you (“Personal Information”). This includes:

• Directly Provided Information: Name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment details (processed securely via Wix’s PCI-compliant gateways).

• Travel-Specific Information: Date of birth, gender, passport numbers, citizenship, and travel preferences (including dietary or accessibility requirements. This information is only by request of the hotel).

• Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, Wix automatically collects certain technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, and "cookie" information to improve your site experience.

We collect and use your Personal Information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including:

• To process and confirm your vacation bookings (flights, hotels, tours).

• To communicate with you regarding your itinerary or customer service inquiries.

• To comply with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., airline security or tax laws).

By using our services and providing your information, you are providing implied consent for us to use that data to fulfill your booking. For sensitive actions (like marketing or sharing data with non-essential partners), we will ask for your express consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time; however, please note that withdrawing consent may prevent us from completing your travel arrangements.

As a travel provider, we must share your data with third-party suppliers to fulfill your booking:

• Travel Suppliers: Airlines, hotels, tour operators, and insurance providers (if any are applicable).

• Wix Platform: Our website is hosted on Wix.com. Your data may be stored through Wix’s data storage and databases on secure servers behind a firewall.

• Cross-Border Disclosure: Your information may be processed or stored outside of Canada (e.g., by Wix in the USA or by a hotel in your destination country). In these cases, your data is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information using physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. Wix’s payment systems are PCI-DSS compliant. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords for any account-related features.

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or for legal/business purposes (typically 7 years for financial records). Once no longer required, data is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Under Alberta PIPA, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

• Request a correction to any inaccurate or incomplete information.

• Inquire about how your information has been used and to whom it has been disclosed.
